Just a short drive from Denver into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Tiny Town is an awesome place to take young children- especially train lovers! Located in Morrison, CO, Tiny Town includes a collection of kid-sized buildings, a playground, and model train rides. Definitely geared towards younger children, many of the buildings have small openings to go inside. My kids enjoyed the jail and the windmill the most of all the buildings.
The train tracks run around the entire property and gives a great view of the town and a small stream. Before taking our train ride, we ate a picnic lunch at the shaded picnic tables and played on the large playground.
Train fare is $2/pp and kids under 2 ride free! The train ride lasts 10 minutes with great views of the mountains, woods, and streams. My boys loved waving to the people in the park as we passed. We even saw a deer crossing the tracks! Tiny Town is a cute little diversion for families in Morrison, CO, just a short drive from Denver. It feels a world away from everything up in the mountains! Admission is very reasonable and it’s a great way to spend a few hours with young children.
